You need no prior experience and there is no need to purchase your own scuba diving equipment.

Do I need to be a good swimmer to scuba dive?
While you don't need to be an expert swimmer, basic swimming skills are essential. Adequate levels are 200m swimming (no time limit) and 10 minutes floating
What are the challenges I will face?
Beginners may experience difficulty equalising pressure, managing buoyancy or feeling anxioius underwater. proper training and practice will help you overcome these fears.
Are there age limits?
Junior open water diver courses (OWD) can be done from age 10 and from 15 years old adult open water courses. there is no maximum age but over 45 years old and a doctor's medical certificate is required.
What certification will I receive ?
You will receive a padi or SSI licence. This allows you to scuba dive without an instructor, as long as you are accompanied by a certified diver.

Fiji is a world leader in scuba diving safety. All of our instructors and dive masters are highly trained and dive gear standards are very high

You can plan and conduct dives to a maximum depth of 18 metres following safe diving practices.
