• Sustainability -  The property is designed to reduce the need for air conditioning, unnecessary refrigeration and power consumption in general.  You will not see any single use plastic. The water is delivered by a tapped Fiji stream rather than desalination and the resort was one of the first PADI eco dive centres in Fiji.

• First Padi Eco Centre in Fiji - The owners of Sau Bay have even adopted the Great White Wall dive site and are very active in marine conservation.

• Sau Bay divers operate their diving according to the current flow on Rainbow Reef.  This is absolutely critical for soft coral dives such as the Great White Wall, Jerry's Jelly,  Annies Bommie and many more.   Soft corals are a colony of  polyp cnidarians which contract into the flexible skeleton when the current is not flowing - so timing is everything.  When the corals are feeding the beauty of the reef is spell bounding. 

• The position of the resort means the dive boats are able to get to Rainbow reef even when the wind is strong so they are not limited to diving in areas shielded by land.
